What happens if…
It arrives damaged.
Every bath is inspected by two craftsmen before it leaves us. If it arrives with any damage — scratch, dent, dented crate — refuse delivery, email us the same day, and we will collect and remake it at our expense.
We have had this happen twice in twenty-two years. Both baths were replaced within four weeks.
You change your mind.
Bespoke pieces — anything made to a specific size or finish — cannot be returned once the copper is cut. Standard-collection baths, undamaged, may be returned within thirty days for a refund less the outbound freight cost.
In fifty years, seven baths have been returned. All were re-sold within the month.
It needs re-finishing.
Any bath we have made is welcome back at the workshop for re-polishing, re-plating, a change of finish, or a full restoration. Every ledger entry lives forever — we will know exactly which piece it is.
We charge only for metal and labour. Round-trip freight is free of charge within Britain.
It has been fifty years.
Bring it back. We will restore it to any finish in the collection, or match a bespoke one to your bathroom as it is today.
Our oldest customer bath — the Kensington that went to Canterbury in 1962 — has been back to us four times. It looks, on inspection, as it did the day it left.
A bath is a slow thing.
Its delivery is the last part of the slowness.
