Description
The Heather is a softly hammered, double-walled copper basin — raised by hand, worked with rounded mallets, and finished with the gentlest of textured surfaces. The double-wall construction gives it weight, thermal stability, and a quietness that a single-wall basin cannot match.
Made in Kent
Two sheets of copper — each one and a half millimetres thick — are cut, shaped, and seamed together to form the outer and inner walls. The visible surface is hand-hammered with a rounded mallet, one dimple at a time, until the whole basin carries a soft, tactile texture. The rim is polished flush by hand.

Why double-walled
The two walls act as a thermal buffer — the basin stays warm to the touch even in an unheated bathroom, and the water inside holds its temperature longer. The construction also dampens the sound of the tap running: a small thing, unless you notice.
Care
Warm water, soft cloth, and nothing else. The hand-hammered texture will deepen very slightly over the first year, then settle. If you prefer an unsealed “living” finish that will continue to patinate, tell us at the time of order.
